Navy boot camp mulls no longer shaving recruits' heads shaved head allowed in the navy

Each of the military services imposes grooming standards. If a shaving waiver is authorized, no facial/neck hair shall be shaved, manicured, styled or outlined.

For men, getting their head shaved on the first day of Navy boot camp . Female recruits aren't allowed to wear their hair longer or pinned up.

Faddish styles and outrageous multicolored hair are not authorized. (cut, clipped or shaved) natural, narrow, fore and aft part is authorized.
